The Professional Standards course is based upon forty years of experience in training thousands of individuals from many workplaces and occupations in how to be available to their peers. The Professional Standards Team Volunteer Program is a voluntary program established to support the pilot community and as such works in collaboration with other existing programs such as Pilot Assistance, Pilot Wellness, and the Pilot Health Recovery Program.
Rev. Brian Murray is a Registered Psychotherapist (College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario), a Clinical Fellow (Retired) of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, and a Fellow of the American Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress.
Brian is the President of Humanitas Inc. which provides consulting and training services in employee assistance to corporations. Brian is a co-founder of the Pilot Assistance Program. Brian also worked with Canadian Addiction Treatment Centres to establish their Addiction Treatment Centre substance abuse intervention and relapse support program. Brian is known among pilots as a therapist whose practice is focused upon relationships and trauma. Recently, Brian completed his training for board certification in Neurofeedback Training.
